What Are TEF Canada and TCF Canada?
TEF (Test d’évaluation français) et TCF (Test de connaissance du français) are official French language proficiency tests recognized by :
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
- Quebec immigration authorities
These tests assess your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French language.
Both exams evaluate the four language skills:
- Listening Comprehension
- Reading Comprehension
- Writing Expression
- Speaking Expression
You must complete all four components if you are taking the test for immigration or citizenship purposes.
